Season 7 Episode 1: The Elevator Shaft

Nerds, if you are new to Our Nerdiest Thing, welcome! Each week we release a new podcast episode, alternating between Tuesday topical episodes one week and Thursday Book Club episodes the alternating weeks. Our book club episodes always include a yummy cocktail themed after the chapters we've read. This week's Daggermouth themed cocktail is named "The Elevator Shaft".

Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces London dry gin
1 ounce honey syrup
3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
1/4 ounce blood orange juice, freshly squeezed
Garnish: lemon twist (optional)

Directions:
Add the gin, honey syrup, lemon juice and blood orange juice into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Fine-strain into a chilled coupe. If desired, garnish with a lemon twist.
