Author Interview: Neena Laskowski
Hello, fellow nerds! This week, we got to chat with Neena Laskowski, author of The King’s Weapon and The Heir’s Bargain!
Neena Laskowski didn't fall in love with reading until she started writing her own stories in fourth grade, when she realized reading would improve her writing.
She earned her Master’s in Secondary Education and Bachelor’s in English and Classical Studies from the University of Michigan. After teaching middle school English for a few years, she decided to pursue her life-long passion for writing.
When she is not writing morally grey heroines or working her day job, she can be found camping with her husband, starting a random house renovation she found on TikTok, cuddling with her dog and cat on the couch with a good book, painting with a glass of wine in hand (and hoping she doesn't mix her paint water with her drink), or spending quality time with her friends and family.
Listen in as we chat more about Neena’s books, deadly libraries, and her upcoming projects. Be sure to follow her @neenalaskowski

Author Interview: Sarah Glenn Marsh
Hello, fellow nerds! This week, we got to chat with Sarah Glenn Marsh, author of Our Rogue Fates, How I Met Your Murderer, and more!
Sarah Glenn Marsh has been an avid fantasy reader and Tolkien enthusiast from the day her dad handed her a copy of The Hobbit and promised it would change her life. She’s been making up words and worlds ever since, and is now an author of books for kids including the How to Spot a Fairy series; books for teens like the Reign of the Fallen duology; and romances for adults, including the forthcoming Our Rogue Fates, out April 28th, 2026 from Alcove.
She has also written for popular franchises including Star Wars and Critical Role, as she loves digging into the sandboxes of her favorite worlds.
When she’s not writing, Sarah frequents the pottery studio and raises awareness about her autoimmune disease, Type 1 diabetes. As a queer person, Sarah is also passionate about seeing more and better representation in all forms of media; we all deserve happy endings.
While her favorite place to be is Ireland, Sarah currently lives in Richmond, Virginia where a tiny zoo of four rescued sighthounds, three birds, a turtle, many fish, and one adorable toddler—not to mention her garden—keep her and her partner plenty busy.
Listen in as we chat more about Sarah’s books, her adult MM romance, and her upcoming projects. Be sure to follow her @sarahmarshauthor

Hello, fellow nerds! This week, we got to chat with Judy Liu, author of The Vending Portal and Synthers and Beasts!
Inspired by her love of Marvel, sci-fi, old Taiwanese dramas, and ridiculous anime, Judy scribbles mini-stories wherever she can (and subsequently forgets them!). She spent some time living in rural Japan before working in the legal and compliance sphere. With her debut novel The Vending Portal, Liu hopes to meaningfully add to Asian American literature to further enrich the YA genre.
Outside of work and writing, Judy enjoys dancing with her teammates and friends, exploring unknown spots or cities, caring for her plants, and making nonsense sounds to her sister.

Author Interview: Sierra Simone
Hello, fellow nerds! This week, we got to chat with Sierra Simone, author the Priest series, The New Camelot Series, The Lyonesse Trilogy, and more!
Sierra is a voracious reader of all things including the smuttiest smut, piles of non-fiction, and old-timey books with brooding widowers. She loves writing the dirtiest things that she can think of, and also: King Arthur, sparkling water, ancient mystery cults, coffee, leggings, and fog.
Her previous jobs have included firing ceramics, teaching living history lessons in one-room schoolhouse in full, 1904 school marm attire, and working in a library for several years (not in that order).
Her novels have been published in Czech, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Turkish, and Ukrainian. She's been featured in Buzzfeed, Cosmopolitan, Entertainment Weekly, Marie Claire, and Library Journal with a starred review.
She lives in the Kansas City area with her husband, two children, and two giant dogs.

Author Interview: Julie Olivia
Hello, fellow nerds! This week, we got to chat with Julie Olivia, author of The Honeywood Fun Park series, Never Harbor series, and the recently re-released standalone If It Makes You Happy!
Julie Olivia writes cozy love stories filled with humor, spice, and close friend groups that feel like a warm hug. She is a roller coaster fan, avid romance reader, and rainy day enthusiast. Before writing romance novels, Julie moonlighted as an illustrator and worked in Human Resources, in which she still maintains a SHRM-CP certification. However, she decided writing about office romances where they break all the policies was far more enjoyable than enforcing them. Julie lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and their very opinionated pets.
